A violent explosion broke out near the house of a Lithuanian volunteer who supports Ukraine
On the evening of Friday, 22 March, a riot broke out near the home of Valdas Bartkevicius, a businessman, activist and volunteer from Lithuania.
A civic activist returned home from Kaunas, where a meeting of the local Mayor of Kaunas, who has a business in Russia, was held. On the way, he stopped in Vijevis to charge his car battery. At 21:23, his girlfriend telephoned him and asked when he would arrive, because something had exploded near their apartment building. The explosion was of such a magnitude that the alarm system in the area of the company which is connected to Valdas Bartkevicius' premises went off.
