Why is everything in Lithuania always done through the other end? Everybody gets together, expresses their opinion, makes promises, makes decisions. Everybody is scratching their heads to get on the screens and in the press to say something that might help resolve the situation. You obviously think you know what I mean. No way.
Let's start with sport. How many gold medals did Alekna senior have to win before he was finally able to build a place where athletics talents can train, almost at his own expense? Why is it only after Meilutyte's gold that everyone was upset that Lithuania does not have a single normal swimming pool for training? Lithuania is a basketball country? The whole country is built up with basketball arenas that are not filled half the time, and the current Lithuanian champion, Rytas, has to play in an arena with a pro-Russian capital. Paradox.
How many Mothers were killed before children's rights and all the authorities finally woke up and saw that something was wrong? Why do the police only go to murders, because an open threat to kill on a social networking site in person is not a proper basis for arrest? How many bridges had to collapse before they finally realised that the state of the roads in Lithuania is tragic? But with the money spent on road repairs, we should put speed cameras all over Lithuania, so that everybody drives slower and there are no fatalities due to potholes. Because then it would really need to be repaired. Because there are victims.
Vytautas Lansbergis has been barking since the very beginning of the restoration of independence - the Russians will attack. They attacked Chechnya. Ai, nothing. It attacked Abkhazia. Jin. Invaded Sakartvel. Px. Invaded Ukraine. Stopped bridging Vytautas. But no casualties yet. Why do anything? Laurynas Kasčiūnas gets a chance. It does. But what kind of b. will you do in half a year when nothing has been done for 30?
Why is it that only a few people in Lithuania think about the fact that the Mazzolkis are a big threat and evil? By forming foundations. While others think about how to force Armonaitė to change the law during the herbal holidays, or how to avoid traffic jams on late nights when you drive to the grave where you know that some great-grandfather's pimp is buried and grandfather always drank for his memory, Valdas thinking about how to get a convoy of cars at least 10% requesting. When will others start thinking? When will the πdars shoot up the Medininkai post on the way in and not on the way out? Then it will be too late. Too late.
And if you've read this far, I'll mention what you've been thinking. It's a bitch to talk and promise everything when you know that in a month's time you won't be here, and everything you promised will have to be given by others. I would not listen to Arvydas Paukštis and I would move everything to Estonia. There, ever since the dinosaur Skype, everybody knows what the latest technologies and innovations are.
And in Lithuania, as long as we keep stepping on the same rake, we will only have a bruise on our forehead and not a shaven head, nothing will change. Because you are already thinking about Christmas trees, presents, mulled wine and decorations, while others are thinking that it would be good to take another convoy at Christmas to drop off a few tonnes of aid.
